Razael vs. Ciel

The midday sun shone on the back of Razael's neck, filling him with hot discomfort. He was in the middle of a fairly large clearing located inside of a forest. He walked over to the welcoming shade of the lone tree in the center of the clearing. Razael slumped onto the trunk of the tree and dozed into sleep. He awoke at the sound of his stomach growling, realizing he hadn't eaten in a while.

"What the hell. Can't I get any peace!? I barely slept fifteen minutes!"

Razael checked his pack for food but was dismayed at the vast emptiness of the pack. The vast emptiness... Horror crossed Razael's face as he realized he had no money.

Ceil marked a notch in the tree he was in. His phone buzzed.

"Salut"
........
"Oui"
.......
"Oui"

He hung up and jumped down from his post to fill his canteen with some water. He scouted the forest and found a small steam with clean enough water to satisfy his tastes. He filled his canteen to the brim and took a quick swig...

"Ce va a tre un jour chaud."

"Well, guess I'll have to rob somebody... There aint no towns around here."

Razael sighed and moved from the tree to the edge of the clearing. He strained his ears for the sound of movement. He listened to the sway of the trees in the wind. He heard various game move throughout the forest. He stuck his tongue out and tasted the atmosphere, tasting a bit of salty sweat in the process.

"It's gonna rain soon... Damn, at least it'll cool me off."

Razael trudged forward, listening to the faint noises of the forest. The soft swish of the fabric of his pants as he walked. The odd metallic click that would sound every time the shotels hanging from his waist tapped each other. The faint rustling of a stream and... A voice! Razael dropped to a crouch and readied his revolver. He slowly advanced towards the stream noticing a figure amidst the trees.

Easy now, just fire a round into the head and take his cash. All will be go-

Razael stepped on a stick, which produced a loud snap.

Shiiit...

Ciel took his dagger out as soon as he heard the sound. He walked quietly toward the general direction. He stopped about a quarter of the way from the stream to a tree where he thought the perpetrator might be.

"Affichez Vous!"

He waited patiently for a reply. He could have sworn he could hear a heart pumping, anxious, waiting.

"Show Yourself!"

"Tch!"

Razael darted forward, blindly firing in the general direction of the other man. He leaped across the stream and made his way through the cover of some bushes approximately sixty yards from the stream. Muttering a curse, Razael set up his rifle and aim through the bushes to the place he ran from.

Ceil ducked and hid behind a tree. He had a tear in his jacket from his counterparts attack. He took out another dagger. He didn't want to use his katana if he didn't have to.

"Hey!", he called out "What the fuck was that?"

"What are you doing here?!"

"Hey, I won't have to kill you if you just leave"
.......................

"Answer me dammit!"

Razael lined up his shot. Sweat dripped from his brow into his eyes.

"Dammit! It's gettin harder to see! Lucky fer you eh..."

When he thought he had an approximate aim on his oponent, he squeezed the trigger. What he didn't notice though, was the speed of the wind blowing in a direction perpindicular to his aim.

The bullet swayed off and hit another tree in the distance. Ciel decided that taking the high road was just too much for him. He drew another dagger from his inside pocket.

"Aims a little off today huh?"

"Alright, your dead!"

Ciel threw one of his daggers at his opponent and used the wind to send the dagger flying at top speed. Unfortunately it spun out of control and hit the earth creating a shockwave along it's path.

"Getting rusty"

He tried again, except this time he sent a dagger spinning in the air in a boomerang like motion. He used the wind to curve around a tree and fly to its mark.

Razael heard a faint noise. Something spinning towards him. He quickly lunged back, aim at his target again and fired a second time. A dagger spun past, slicing his leg as he jumped to the side again.

The shot blasted the tree Ciel was standing behind. He knew he couldn't stay there for very long, so he decided to change course. He took out his katana expecting a lengthy battle. He rushed from one tree to another, then used the wind to twirl his dagger in the air in place. He rushed as fast as he could towards his enemy.

The onslaught of rain dropped in a heavy downpour. Now Razael's aim was even poorer.

"You lucky bastard!"

Sighing, Razael hid his rifle in some bushes and unsheathed two short swords from his back. He fished a hand guard out from his pocket and attached the two swords to it creating an unstrung bow. Oh but it was strung regardless, for Razael could make the bowstring out of mana, which he then proceeded to do. Razael saw his prey rushing towards his general direction. In a series of movements to fast to follow, Razael was floating in the air behind the Frenchman, aim his mana arrow at the man's right arm.

Ciel was amazed at the sight he saw. He couldn't believe such power existed. Regardless he dodged the arrow that he barely escaped from. "How do you defend yourself against THAT?" he thought to himself. He took the opportune moment to launch himself at his opponent with a kick.

Razael took the kick to the chest, grabbed the man's leg and pulled him closer. Razael brought the hand guard of the bow to the man's face. He then kicked back and landed with his feet on a tree trunk. He jumped off and fired three arrows.
