ummm i know this will sound gay but i can or well use to play violen... i can really only learn by numbers of how many times you hit a cord or go over the cord or anything like that... my best friend who i think of as a brother told me i would be good a reading music instead of just going by ear.. is that true?

depends on what you want to do...if your going to perform...then learn to read it...if you want to do it because you like it and its a hobby...then i would go by ear....


but violen can be different i dont know if you can learn that by ear lol
