| This series was developed by Namco and put out their fist game Tales of Phantasia for the Super Nintendo. They then went on to make many more games some released in Japan and not in America. These are all RPG's which, instead of having a turn-based system, actually have a real-time fighting scenario. They are all addictively fun, and will waste hours of your day. They are hands-down my favorite RPG's. I own Tales of Phantasia (for GBA), Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, and will most likely buy others. | |

Players can now freely travel between fields, dungeons, and town areas. Battle System Tales of Graces battle system is the "Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System" (SS-LMBS). In this system, characters have two different fighting styles to choose from. Skill of either style can be set to both the A and B buttons, and the player is able to freely switch between the styles in battle. Characters are also able to sidestep in a 360 degree line around the enemy. This is not a "Flex Range" system, like Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and Tales of Vesperia, so it can be assumed that it lacks free run.
